Comparison
Tucann vs Chubbies: what customers who own both say.
4 reviews name Chubbies. Quoted in full, nothing invented.
Chubbies and Tucann sell to the same man: short inseam, bold print, pool to bar. The construction differs. Chubbies use a mesh liner in most trunks and a looser, retro cut. Tucann uses a compression fabric liner, a more tailored leg and zip pockets on every pair.
The customers below owned Chubbies first. Three of the four switched for the liner and the fit. One warns that a Chubbies large needed an XXL in Tucann for her husband's thighs, which matches the wider sizing data: men with muscular legs size up.

These shorts are amazing. I thought I liked my Chubbies shorts but these Tucann’s are premium! The elastic in the waist back make for a perfect fit and the compression short lining is extremely comfortable. The Tucann beads at the end of the strings are a sick little highlight as well. Couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. I will probably never wear any other board shorts brand again.
Nice shorts but order 1-2 sizes up. My husband wears a L in chubbies and he needed an XXL in these!

Chubbies used to be my favorite swimming trunks now it's tucann.
Perfect short and liner! Threw out my Chubbies and ordered more
