Do Tucann swim trunks run small or true to size?

No. Tucann swim trunks run true to size. Across 11,351 written reviews, 1,110 describe the fit as perfect, true to size or as expected, 151 say they run small or recommend sizing up, and 86 say they run large. That is 1.3% of reviews saying small versus 0.8% saying large. The one consistent exception is men with large, muscular thighs, who more often size up. Sizes run S (30) to XXL (38). Do you wear underwear with Tucann swim trunks?

No. Tucann trunks have a built in compression style liner (the Aqua-Liner) that replaces both the mesh netting in ordinary trunks and underwear. It is a soft stretch fabric short, not netting. 420 reviews mention the liner and their average rating is 4.9 out of 5. Only 49 reviews in the whole archive mention chafing, rubbing or itching. Why do normal swim trunks have netting, and why does Tucann not?

Mesh netting is the cheapest way to add a liner. It provides light support and stops the outer fabric clinging when wet, but it is abrasive, it traps sand and it is the main cause of swim trunk rash. Tucann replaced the netting with a smooth compression fabric liner. Customers describe it as feeling like a pair of athletic shorts underneath.

Which inseam should I choose: 3, 5 or 7 inch?

5 inch is the most popular (5,619 reviews) and the safest default for most men. 3 inch is the original short cut, favoured for the beach and by men who want a European style. 7 inch sits just above the knee and is the pick for taller men and for anyone who wants to wear the trunks as everyday shorts. All three lengths are rated within 0.01 of each other (3 inch 4.91, 5 inch 4.9, 7 inch 4.91). Compare the lengths.

Do Tucann swim trunks have pockets?

Yes. Two pockets, both zipped, so keys and cards stay put in the water. No back pocket. 205 reviews mention the pockets and 149 specifically mention the zip. The pockets are deep: an iPhone 17 Pro Max fits comfortably. A small number of low rated reviews found the pockets on some older prints smaller than expected; the current cut does not have that issue.

Are Tucann swim trunks quick dry?

Yes. The outer shell is a four way stretch quick dry fabric. 128 reviews mention drying speed and 124 of them are positive. One customer disagreed and gave one star, and that review is published on the complaints page like every other.

Since then more than 12,000 customers have told us what they think, and I would rather you read every word of it, including the complaints, than take our marketing at face value.
