I went with a 3 inch inseam, which I like but the inner compression layer now shows when I lounge in the sun. Also the compression layer could be a bit tighter and in the color of the shorts.

I originally ordered a large based on the size chart (indicating large size for a 34 inch waist). All of my pants are 34s. However, the large size was too big on me. I easily exchanged the swimsuit for a medium, which fits great. So keep that in mind when order g.
